The ARC3 Advanced Assault rifle is a prototype weapon, designed to replace the aging MkIV Morita. When weapon trials started it was found that it had numerous flaws. A slightly improved version has now left prototype phase and is being sent for field testing with the Mobile Infantry. The ARC3, like the new line of weapons it belongs to, shares a common 7.62x51mm round. This allows for each squad to carry less physical ammunition, yet in practically have more to use.
